Hinged aluminum tapering sled

Here's my tapering sled. This first picture was taken before the keeper plates were installed on the sides, but they'll be visible in other pictures.

Shims are placed on the pins to affect any desired taper rate. The pins are received in holes in the top of the sled.

These plates keep it from flexing as it goes through the sander.

If I was selling bows maybe I would build such an engineering piece of marvel. But I doubt it.  Cool jig though.  The non slip surface is a good one.      :thumbsup:

That's a sweet setup Jeff, but I'm gonna stay with my aboo sleds and just check em on the heavier alum. ones sometimes.

I just like the lite easy handling of aboo.
