Looks like a nice osage log. Can't wait to see what you make from it.
Is it seasoned? If not, I'd at least split it in half, give it a few weeks then split out some staves.

Pat, it isn't seasond, cut about 5 days ago by my daughters friend for me.  He lives it Kansas and has  lots of it on his proberty it seems.     I am going to split it in a few days, that is if I am able.  I had surgery about 2 weeks ago and no lifting for a couple more weeks.  It has been sealed, it is killing me to not be able to do something with it.  I may try to get my brother over to split it down the middle.
