Does the liquid rit cause any probs with glue adhesion?

I got a project in planning.....

Thanks!

I've used it with no problems- lams will really soak up the moisture so you'll need to dry them well before gluing them up.

It depends on what color you use...   :)

Kenny, try the powder stuff mixed with denatured alcohol instead of water. The alcohol will evaporate without leaving a residue or moisture.

If you stain the wood Riser with alcohol dye  it will liquefy when you clear coat and does not look good. Been there done that

Under glass will be fine

I've stained a hundred bows with it and never had the problem you speak of..

What kind of coating did  you spray over the dye roy?
I was trying to make birds eye maple look like ERC
and the alcohol in the shellac would mess up the look

I use tung oil. I can see where shellac would cause the problem with the alcohol in it and the alcohol base in the dye.

Mad Max

Do you spray or wipe on tung oil?

Wipe on, let dry 8 minutes then wipe off and buff like waxing a car. Zero runs and zero dust. I do 4 coats, only down side is waiting 24 hours between coats.
