Wow, I've been feeling bad that I've been largely absent this swap. But logging in to check on progress, it looks like almost everyone is in the same boat. Not much happening, and we're getting closer to the end now than the beginning.

My bow is still glued up and shaped, but not much else has happened to it. I was hoping to make it a two piece; but just in case life doesn't ease up soon, my back up plan is to not to.

I'm in the same boat. Been slammed with work. But things are begining to slow down. I just finished up one for my buddy so I'm putting together a plan for my swap bow. I'm pretty sure I'll make the deadline!

I've been crawling along too. I finally have all the parts for mine ready for glue up. I'm hoping to tiller it this weekend.

What is the 'close date' again?

I've got my victim's bow all glued up and managed to get the overlays on yesterday.  Gonna get her shooting tomorrow.  I tried a little different recipie from what I normally use and came in a few pounds under weight and had to pike it a bit, which I suppose is okay.  I'm still a couple pounds under my recipient's low weight, so I just want to check and see if my guy chimes in -- does anyone care if it's a couple pounds under?  I personally don't,  but some guys might.
If that's the case I'll build another and keep this for myself.

I haven't taken any pictures yet, but will tomorrow after I get her rough shaped.  For anyone that's wondering, I went with bocote and purple heart riser, green glass,  and action-boo limb cores with osage tip wedge.  I'm really hoping she'll shoot as well as I think she will!

I have no problems if a bow was a bit under, or over my weight.
Sounds like a nice bow. I can't wait to see pictures.

Same here no problems if its a little under

talkingcabbage

Okay, as promised, here's pictures.

As you can see I still have quite a bit of sanding and some fine tuning on the shaping. Hopefully be ready for finish by tomorrow.  I have the day off and all the honey-do's are done for the week, so I should have all day to spend in the shop.

Doesn't matter to me if it comes in light, light bows are still fun to shoot    :archer2:

Light is good. Looks nice, green is my favorite glass.
