More than likely, it will be the arrow that kills the bear. And that's only if the operator does his part right. Then again, an unstrung Hill style bow is a lot like a spear if things get desperate!

Very true, Dave.  Why do you need to be so logical and literal?  Must be an engineer thing.

This hunt will give "up close and personal" shots, and my tips are pretty pointy.  If I empty the quiver, the bow will be the final projectile and have a good chance at connecting.

Rob - I just finished getting the leather grip and rest on it yesterday, so I haven't shot it much, but so far I like it.  It's within one pound of another regular risered bow I have with a similar limb design (1 1/8" width and 0.005 total taper), but this one does seem to draw smoother.  I even put it back on the scale when I was done shooting to double check the draw weight.  Must be the fact the limbs are closer to the shooter resulting in less string angle at full draw.

Thanks for all the compliments, Guys.

John,
I really like the looks of your bows. I'm always impressed with how many talented people we have on this site. You are definitely one of them my friend.Hopefully you will let me shoot one sometime at Denton Hill.

Nice job on the bow.......it's 10#'s heavier than the bow I killed a bear with on BQ 9 so I think you will good to go. And yes.......the shots up there are close......real close!!
