What others do when they have made enough from one form and want to change designs? I have no blueprints or bows to copy. I am just tacking some wire nails in a board. Bending my pressure strip over or under them, and cutting a riser from white cardboard box. I would appreciate some suggestions on design. Here is a few feeble attempts. (Thin pressure strips don't work very well but give an idea).

Riser raised a few more inches...

What would you vary?
Strip is 64", form is 68", riser 14-16".

I like the center one, but would move the nocks about 1.5" lower than the back of riser to give a bit more preload. Adds a bit of performance and is usually quieter to boot because the limbs are loaded more at the end of shot and don't quiver as much.  Just my .02  :D
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Thanks Kenny; I value the opinion of a feller who's design is as popular as yours. I'll try that and repost picture.

So far I only do ASL style, so design is not as complicated as a recurve or r/d. Lately I have been playing with a cad program working on a couple recurve designs.  It's tedious cause that type of program is difficult at my engineering level!

Honestly, your method looks simpler and probably more productive   :clapper:

#6.
Any other thoughts on what would perform best and why?

Well here's where I settled, don't know what kind of performer it will be but wanted to do something different.

Now to get it all smoothed out and covered with a strip of Formica. Those packing strips Troy sends his veneers in make a good layer to put down first, that's what I'm sanding.

Much straighter limbed than my last creation except for the recurve near tips. Here's one of them sitting on top of the aluminum strip I was playing with, a lot less deflex.

Closer to another style I made several years ago except for the forward riser and more flip near the end.
