New here.  First bow attempt.  Red Oak, I didn't want to spend too much on my first one.  63.5 inches, handle-leather sewn with imitation sinew.  Brace is just under 7 inches.  Pulls 42.5 lbs at 27 inches.  Shot about 50 rounds thru her and so far so good.  Made several mistakes but have learned a lot and can't wait to try a better wood.

Looks great, can't imagine what you could do with a good piece of Osage. Enjoy the addiction!

My first red oak bow didn't turn out half that nice! Great work!

Looks good Hill. "Made several mistakes", yep still do that but its the addiction that keeps us going, learning and improving.
I said it once I'll say it a thousand times I wish I took up bowyering in my younger years.

It takes being smart to know that not everything is true, but you become wise once you learn to distinguish truth from not.
