Here are a few pictures of a bocote 54 incher I just finished up.  It came in 45# @ 28" and is shooting well.  I'm looking forward to shooting it a bunch, it just may join me in the turkey blind this spring.  Thanks to Big Jim for the nice piece of bocote!

Wicked profile and nice draw.

Very nice looking bow! The finish looks great. I really like the black glass with the bacote. Beautiful bow!

Very nice, great job on the leather grip as well.

You're going to have to let me shoot that Jay!  Beautiful pictures!  Fantastic piece of bocote, and has been mentioned the black limbs really make bocote stand out!

Clean, simple, classy. I really like that. IT looks great without being over the top ... Sometimes if there's too much going on in a bow in terms of design/style/wood that it feels too Vegas for my tastes. I appreciate you resisting the temptation to overdo it. Again very nice bow.

Oh and nice dog too! Springer spaniel?

Just like my old Springer, looking where you are aiming!
Great bow as well!

Thanks everyone for looking and the nice words.

Dad - The next time we're together you can definitely shoot it all you want.

Ben - I actually have some nice bocote overlays that I was going to put on this bow but decided to keep it clean and simple, sort of the "less is more" thought on this one.  Our dog, Penny, is a springer.  She's a good one and goes with us everywhere.

Steve - I'm far from an expert but would be happy to help with any questions you have on a short bow build.

I just might hold you up to that. thanks JJB.
