Well Wayne, as long as it don't look like anything Roy might have made.

(I hear some of his bows might as well be turned into arrow shafts...)

That is a nicely done bow.  That 172 fps is impressive.

So, izzat a golf course or a cemetery you shoot on?  :)

OK!, OK!!!
Alright I am feeling guilty enough
Gotta come clean
     :bigsmyl:
I did not build this bow, certainly not in 12 hours      :D
And not with some ol SPF and an old broken bow
And still shooting 172 Fps with a 535gn arrow!!!!

This  is a bow built by a master bowyer.
An extremely skilled craftsman and artist!
The technical skill that has gone into this bow is beyond my capabilities.

This bow shoots beautifully, smooth, FAST, absolutely no hand shock, and is super sexy to boot.
When I unwrapped it on Saturday, I figured I was gonna give the bowyer a hard time- the ol' fart,

SIGH!!!    Yuppers this beauty was built by that old curmudgeon in Pa.
Wasn't gonna let him get off lightly!

This bow is an absolute beauty, and I will be shooting some deer with it this season.
I was saying to the ol bugger, just how bow rich I feel right now, so truly blessed with abundance , I have got three beautiful bows recently by three very skilled bowyers, this beauty from Roy, an awesome tri lam hybrid from " little Ben" that is every bit as beautiful and classy a bow as this one, and a beautifully old school type bamboo backed yew longbow by Bert frelink, that I just love-very nostalgic bow for me.

Thank goodness we get 15 tags a season, cos I will be hunting with all three of these bows this season
Man... Life is good right now      :)

What I did love best though, is that folks did think , well for a short time at least, that I was capable of producing such a beauty.

Mucho kudos to all the real folk on here that build beautiful tri lams, I honestly don't think that they are that easy to build, that's why I haven't built one !! I think as all wood bows, they have to be extremely technically demanding, but man they deliver the results!!!!

That's my front lawn,Mike.
Yer right mate, it is a pretty impressive speed that. Not that that is how I measure the worth  or value of a bow. I have built a lot of bows a lot slower than that. It's just impressive that's all.

Not gloating guys, just really appreciative.

THANK YOU ROY!!!
Yer a champion, mate

fujimo

Except for ol, Dave , I think he slept in the knife drawer last night   :D    :D
He's a pretty sharp one that   :)

LittleBen

Wayne! I have to admit you had me! I was sure you skipped work and just crushed that project in 2 day. I was starting to think .... S*** ... Maybe I can get it done like that too!

Regardless, that's a great looking bow. Roy really makes a fantastic bow. I think we've all been very lucky here to have him dropping little crumbs of wisdom every time he shows off his builds and is there to assist in helping people get started on their own builds.

I have to say though, I thought Roy built 'em with a rounded belly, and that looks fairly flat. Guess an old dog can learn new tricks  ;)

Cheers all round,
Ben

I was suspicious with the inclusion of SPF and the rather amitious idea of straightening out an old selfbow to use as laminations.  I know Wayne's a talented dude, but that is pushing it.

You are right there Al, I am a very lucky man. Like a pup with nine tails right now.
I just can't seem to miss with that bow.
