so i dont know how this will go down, but i have access to clear glass, from germany- not bearpaw. the prices look very good- maybe if folk want to e mail me( through my profile page!)-we could put a small order in, and see what its like- and if its good, then maybe put some bigger orders in, as a group- or individually -or whatever!- i dont/wont use a lot of glass in a year!- especially as im a gonna start building tri lams now- with me ol' mentor  
but it seems like we should check it out!

pse note: i am not selling it, not trying to make a profit- just putting something together so that we can all benefit, because of the current glass issues  

What is the price? Who makes the glass?

I haven't used a piece of clear glass in 5 yrs. If a new supplier comes on board with and acceptable product I would reconsider. How big of an order are you trying to put together and do you have the price breakdown?

got to run off right now- i will get the info up here a bit later-
but quickly- the laminate has more glass in it - compared to gordons- 78% glass as apposed to 70% in the gordons- so it is stiffer and better- and free of streaks.
he is sending me a sample-

i will be chatting to him tomorrow morning, and see what kind of deal we can set up- the whole time difference thing- really messes one around a bit.
i will keep everyone posted as this happens- the glass seemed cheaper than the local stuff, but there would be some shipping, and some duties too- but if its as good and as clear as i have heard it is- that will be great for all of us!
