I finally finished this one. I used brown glass from Kenny and I really like how it looks with the marblewood. It's 63" N2N 50# @ 28". The riser has a mountain camo actionwood accent stripe that almost looks iridescent in the light.

That does look good! The action wood strip is nice- I like the limb wedges too.

David I picked up a 10' piece of hard maple for laminations at Woodcraft in Windsor CO while visiting the kids. It ended up having a lot of curlly grain that shows up on the sides of the lams. I'll have to pickup some plain grain maple to use for lams and use this for risers and veneers.

I'm not into this style of bow at all, but even I really like this particular bow.

Very nice looking bow. Glad you posted it. I bought a huge hunk of marblewood a while back in a moment of weakness. Is it as orange in real life as it looks in the pictures?  I am thinking of doing a cocobolo/marblewood riser. What do you think?

Wolftrail

Very nice work.  Could we see the takedown system apart.

BenBow

Wolftrail here are a couple of pictures of how the takedown system looks. A T-nut is epoxied into the limb and protrudes slightly to help the alinement. The threaded brass insert is epoxied and screwed in from the belly side of the riser, then drilled out to 5/16". This gives the cap screw something besides wood to draw down against. To me this just gives a cleaner line.

Allen wrench access to the cap screw.
