Finally got these finished. Made them for a couple of my cousins back east hoping to get them into archery. They are both 38@28, 64".  Bocote/Sapelle with curly maple and bloodwood accents. Man gloss finish is a PIA!!

Have any of you ever tried using a flush cut router
bit with a bearing on the end? If you use it mounted in the router with router table it does the same job as the sanding drum and much faster
and a cleaner cut. Just a thought.

The reply on the use of a router was for rmorris
and his concern about a rounded profile with his
sander. You still use the templates the same as with the sander.
