I don't think you'll forget. But I should hurry I suppose to get there before the doc fixes you up, that way the smack is more like a pat.

Hi guys, I finally finished my kennym bow form and my digitally controlled owen. It is powered by 6x75w ligtbulbs and gets to 80°C (aprox. 180°F) in 20 minutes and stays within 2°C the whole time. I have small PC fan to help air circulation. The form is just hung on 3 eyelets.  Here is few pics.

I've been making turkey calls for Christmas gifts.  Never made one before so it's kind of a fun new experience.  Maybe some pics later.  Depends on how photogenic they are!   :bigsmyl:

Took my dad to get some POC arrows today. Was able to get a few shots off with him in the rain and snow. All his arrows hit the target at 15 yds, I guess he still has muscle memory left!

This is the first bow he has owned since he was a kid. His draw is somewhere between 26.5 and 27 when we measured. In the video I'm thinking 26.5 as the arrows were cut 28.5 BOP. Bow is 40@28. He can shoot more, but I'd like him to be able to keep shooting it for awhile. I was happy with how quiet it was. For those of you following the swap, this is the sister bow to Ralph's.

My sister and I (along with my wife and niece) surprised the snot out of him at a surprise party for his 70th birthday on Saturday his friends threw him. He's still recovering.

This afternoon I finally got to something that's been lagging a long time: handle wraps for four bows that were otherwise finished this summer.

I got them cut and shaped to each riser with wetted veg-tan leather and stitched up tight:

Then I let them dry next to the fire:

Tomorrow I'll remove them from the bows, dye them, hit them with some finish/conditioner, and then stitch them back on with some barge cement to finish the deal. Three of them are due to go out in the mail once finished, although I might wait until the Christmas rush at the post office is over.

Today I got a bow heat tempered on the caul.  I'm going to back it with sinew.

Dave, that looks like an osage bow, what's the deal?

Clint that's a mighty short bow ... One of those 100#@ 15" bows?

scrub-buster

It's a 24" bow just for fun.  Going to see what kind of distance I can get out of it.
