I'm jealous Roy. You are old enough to be my uncle, right?  :bigsmyl:

Got one roughed out, gonna be my dad's Christmas gift this year. Hickory with maple riser and bubinga tip overlays. Family isn't doing Thanksgiving until Saturday, so gonna tiller it tomorrow. Planning to temper the belly and heat in a bit of reflex. Shooting for around 50#.

Ate, then ate some more, but it's Thanksgiving!

Had 4 adults, 7 grand kids, and 4 extra dogs here today for dinner. They are gone now... I'm winding down now, with my 5th beer... LOL

Sanded from 120-1000 grit. First bow in 2 1/2 years.  54#@28",  1.25" of follow. Plan to temper belly and put a slight reflex in.

Looks very nice..
This morning I had the pleasure of removing a tick from my belly. Was playing in the woods yesterday in the 65 degree weather.

Lol, I might not mind some ticks if I had weather like that, it was °5 and windy here yesterday morning

Any tick removal north of the waistline is no biggie. It's the southern ticks you gotta worry about. Growing up on LI, I've pulled more than my share of ticks .... Fortunately they've all been Yankees and no Confederates. I've heard some terrible stories ... Nuff said.

Heading up to the mountains this morning for the Pa buck season opener tomorrow.. Staying in another buds camp.. Taking my 15 year old nephew along, hoping to watch him kill his first deer. I've killed enough, it's his turn..   :)

BenM

Good luck to your nephew Roy.  Have fun up in the mountains.

Good luck Roy (to the nephew of course.)

Drinking foreign beer and looking forward to my flight home tomorrow. Can't wait to finish those two yew bows. One in time for my Dad's 70th in two weeks and one to my poor swap recipient hopefully even sooner.

Buddy is making a bow for his niece for xmas. Maple backed Osage. First time on the tree.

I started another tri lam. Need to make the core lams next.

Is that your new boo Roy?
The node spacing looks fantastic!

Wait, did I miss something? Was the other trilam ever finished?

Yes that is the new boo, and the node spacing is great.

Cantalopeboy, no it needs shot in and I can't pull it, well I could but it would hurt like hell. See the orthopedic Dr again tomorrow. My guess is an MRI then surgery, because something just isn't right in the shoulder, and I don't want to aggravate it further.

canopyboy

Send it my way, I'll have my daughter shoot it in for you. Just make sure you include safety glasses.
