I was thinking the same thing about the tree! Nice!

Hard to believe we're 3 weeks past the first deadline with the second one coming up fast and we're only 35% done. Kelly, I'm guessing that doesn't include the bows that are ready to ship but are being held? Hopefully that would bump us up a couple more percent so we're at least close to halfway.

Mike are you in the PA swap? Maybe the bow is from that.

Sorry to hear about your injury timbermoose. Hope you get back to shooting soon.

A big oops on my part.....you got it Ben!
I feel a bit silly now!

Well I have that one tiller out to a good draw and weight it I'd on the bottom of the request might come in a pound or 2 shy. But it needs some heat now to get that string closer to Center. I will flip the tips a bit so she should be in there. I have the hickory pryimid bow tips moving but she needs more wood to come off hope to have it tillered by this, weekend so I can toast it up.

Well no pics but I got the limb heated and move so I bet the string is tracking much better. I my flip the times now but who knows.

While it rehydrates I will work on the prymid hicory bow and try and get pics of it up. I think it will be the swap bow if it turns out. The osage will most likly go in the PA one but we shall see. I still ahve 8 days.

I apologize for the lack of updates and pictures, work doesn't recognize a bow build deadline. That said, my trade bow is tillered out to 2#'s over the target weight, sanded out to 220, antelope horn tip overlays, and has over 100 arrows through it.  I will put another 100 arrows through it in the morning, followed with whatever adjustments that might be needed, and then it gets sprayed.  It should be in the mail Saturday or Monday.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Well Walt where are those teaser pics so folks can drool over your work.   :bigsmyl:

I have some progress on a pyramid hickory bow  I started in the fall. I don't know if the Osage or the hickory will be my swap bow. I might heat the belly of the hickory to temper it if I do the Osage with have to be my swap. I can get it finished up and sent by the ship date with luck.

Talk about taking to the wire. I have a thread I started with that one so look there if you want a peek.

At he last minute here I've decided to abandon my plan A bow, and glue up a new blank.
Plan is to glue up today or tomorrow, then probably take a day of vacation to do all the shaping and tillering.

I believe I can still make the deadline, but if I'm late it won't be by more than a day or two.

I just realized I can't send the first bow. Although it is a great bow, it just isn't what my recipient ordered, and is just way to close to the legal hunting minimum in this particular person's area. I fear that if it breaks in too much more it will only be a target bow.

I'll check back soon, hopefully with photos.

Well I am officially moved in to my new house and adjusting to being a Texan. I am headed out to San Antonio tonight till next Sunday for some training, but as far as my bow goes, the riser needs shaped and the shelf cut and I need to glue limb tips on all that should not take too long so hoping to be shipped early August.

Work raised its head again, I'm out of town for a couple of weeks.  My bow will not ship until around 8/10.

Five days to go until we're into bonus time. I'm still hoping to hear something from my recipient that lets me ship! It's tough sitting here looking at this bow. I may just have to go shoot it some more.
