Another dandy there. Really love the takedown sleeved like that. Always wanted to try it.

Got the belly tempered, the backing glued on, handle attached and started trapping it slightly. Tillering will begin tonight.

More Progress on our swap bow..

Overlays in place, shaped, tillered, trapped limbs to hit our weight goal.  Limb tips roughed in.   We should complete all final sanding, and prep for spray finish by tomorrow pm.

Jeff, that bow is going to make someone very happy, nice looking profile. I can't believe the quality of bows this year, odds are good you'll get a great one.

Crittergetter

Thx gents! Ben, go for it. This is my first take down and it's not near as bad as I thought it would be. I'm Already ordering materials for another one!
Jeff, I can tell you put a lot of thought into that bow! Looks great!

Wow, there are a lot of really nice bows this year.    Mine is cooling on the caul, should be ready to ship next Friday.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Awesome bows guys!  I don't know why, but I'm always surprised by the fantastic work everyone comes up with every year.

My swap bow is getting finished now.  I think I'm up to four coats of oil now.  Gonna get a couple more on after a light sanding, then wait a couple days and do three or four coats of poly to finish her off.  Maybe I'll work on a little something extra for my victim too.  I'll have to see what I have laying around.

One of two things will happen; it'll either work or it won't.

Nice looking bows everyone.  Down to the wire for me.  I'm in Haiti til June 26 but brought some things with me that I am working on here in the evenings.

Put a few hours in bow and got it floor tillered.

Wagstaff

Our Swap bow is shaped, sanded, and cleaned.  We apply the Krystal spray finish tomorrow.  Once dry, we'll be shipping out to our Victim..  Probably by Tuesday..

I really like these limb tips.  My son Connor carved these from
Axis Deer Antler

We really like this combination of woods.  Zebra and Wenge, are great for contrast.

This is our version of "Whip". Only a 1" width..  As we hoped, this thing really smokes an arrow..

bigbob2
