Well I had picked some beautiful bocote and some nice grained cocobola with a little pecan accent stripes just for my new hunting bow....glued it up with nice dark bocote veneers and red elm cores...I made it heavy and with my first attempts at antler tips....When it was roughed in, I decided to shoot a few shots from it...just to see how heavy it might be.  It was heavy alright but on the 8th shot it sounded like my arrow hit the riserplate hard but what had happened was the lower limb cracked...dead bow!   I was upset!  So I grabbed some wild looking zebra from the scrap pile some pieces of black walnut left over from another build and a little black glass and started over...I glued it up with shedua veneers and some nice red elm cores.   Came in 58" 62#@28".  My first try at an Ibeam, made it out of walnut.  and of course it got the Bodork finishing touch applied to make it look good!   Anyway here it is....

Many thanks guys, Fuji best I could tell and what my mentors had to say was that I left the  lower fade on the riser too thick for it to flex like I needed it too... When we scaled it, at 25" it really cracked bad and I was only at 75#!!!!!!! Needless to say I quit right there.... I gave it to Mike to make a lamp out of it...
