Full Draw Too

Hi guys, hey, is there a certain measurement that one should stick by as far the distance between the deepest part of the grip to the top of the arrow shelf? I'm making my first TD recurve through Binghams and yes I have the plans but plans tell you what to copy but plans don't answer questions. I always like to know why and what for? so, is there a certain guideline for this measurement or are they all different? I'll sit back and wait for some good advice from the Bow world...Pat

I use 1 1/4" above center of the riser on my Binghams TD recurves.  I don't know that a 1/4" one way or the other matters all that much.  I have shot longbows that are 2"+ and don't care for them much.

I also use the Bingham form for my 3 piece take-down longbows and I have settled in on 1 1/4.
