After MONTHS of only getting to work a hour or 2 a week on my second attempt at this glass stuff i can finally say it's done!! Well except for strike plate, string silencers and maybe a beaver tail handell wrap! Gotta say thx to Big Jim for some great materials and advice! Also thx to Bowjunkie and ole man Roy for tiller advice. Came out 1/8 negative but the nocking point tracts perfect! Shoots like a dream!!  64" ntn, 51# @ 28". Tiger myrtle veneers, tiger myrtle and cocobolo riser with black phenolic. I nick named this one G2 because its my second glass bow!                              really gonna hate to let this one go! Made it for my cousin. Maybe I won't tell him it's done till after season!     :biglaugh:

The best made plan won't get it made the way you planned.

Thanks everyone! Even though it took forever I really enjoyed this build. Tried some new stuff and I really like the out come! Emailed Big Jim today and hatching a plan for the next one. Gonna use the bocote veneers I won from Idaho Curt!

Really sweet bow...       Can you tell me what the total stack thickness was and what size of glass on the belly and back.?

bigbob2

love the wood choices. be a shame to cover them with any sort of wrap I feel

Crittergetter

Wolftrail, the total stack is 0.40 with .05 glass on both belly and back. Bigbob, that's what I'm having trouble with! I ordered some beaver tail from Big Jim but I haven't made up my mind yet!

The wood can certainly be beautiful, but the beaver adds another level of beauty and style to the bow...plus it just feels and works so "Dam" well!
