wow nice bows. This is the part I love looking at all the bows and dreaming of owning and shooting them.

Trux, the bow is looking great.  You sure put in the time on the detailing!!  And it shows.

Well - I am going to work on my spliced lamination option for swap as well and see which turns out better or more suited for ********.

Walnut riser with a simple design all bamboo core woods, osage belly and spliced osage back.

Glued it up last night...I use two bamboo parallels on the back along with the veneer and glass and one bamboo taper on the belly with veneer and glass.

WOW !!!!!!!!!!
Just been looking at the bows in progress. There sure is a ton of great bows being made. I have mine in the shooting in phase,on the tree it came in at 52# at 28" but I have a short draw of 25" so when xxxxxxxxx gets a drop off from the USPS take time when you start to warm it up.
Like I stated before there are some very nice looking bows being made, just wish I had half of the talent.

Those spliced lams are going to look nice with that riser! Got my bow roughed out enough to shoot a few arrows with it. Also got the tips roughed in- I went with some cow horn I had picked up- talk about stink, way worst than antler or bone and they are fairly translucent. Now to get all the scratches out of the bow and put some finish on.

Thats one of the things I like about cow horn is how it gets almost clear when it gets polished up.  Great looking stuff everybody.  Look forward to seeing the rest of the work.  Now that I've got my wedding stuff out of the way maybe I can get up in the shed and get some work done....Still got to redo an old cabinet for my wife.  I swear been married two days and already have a honeydo..lololol.  Unfortunately the cabinet was on that list a while before we got married.

Dmaxshawn

I've used a bunch of cow horn.  I like it too for its translucency.

Looking good

KellyG

Congrats D and the list will not get any shorter trust me.

Oh me oh my what wonderful looking bows are coming together.

cunruhshoot
