Unibond 800...I will check it out..thanks.

Never used TB3 with bamboo, on hickory and rawhide all the time, maybe we will have to do a test run.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

I got my swap bow all finished up and doing some final sanding to get ready to spray, but I'm having a problem. No matter how much I sand on the white phenolic overlays on the limbs, they still look kinda dirty and discolored. Any ideas for how I can keep them nice and bright white before I spray them. Wet sand with alcohol or acetone maybe?

Whew made it back into the light
So this is what the outside world looks like
Found a lot of stuff that I knew I had but just couldn't put my hands on it
cause there was all sorts of  other stuff in the way.
All right made a start ripped up some bamboo flooring to size and put them through the drum sander. Made the wedges ready for a glue up tonight.

Dave, has to be dust from the other surfaces I'd think, try a fine tip with compressed air?

Folks, be careful when you work with veneers....

Hope ***  * ******** ** *** don't mind a crack or 2....

Was sanding the joint on the back veneer where I joined it when the sanding block caught the walnut and shredded it.....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Not good Kenny, always hurts to see a lot of effort go down the gurgler.

KellyG

Kiwi glad you made it out safe and sound.

Not good Kenny maybe you can use them as tip over lays or something so they are not completely lost.

Sorry Kenny - I know the pain...

Yea tip overlays or kindling... Bummer Kenny

Well, not a total loss maybe, folks.

Luckily I hadn't cut the belly lams to length yet. Sooo, I skived and glued them and cut the broken part off the first ones.

Then carefully sanded the CA glued skive joint on the 2nd pair. She is now in the oven. You can see how much I cut off here, but since the belly lams don't go to center, we may make a bow from it yet.

Glad I cut to length last thing before glueup.

Also glad I didn't have a lil fit and chew on em or something when they broke!   :D
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Good save Kenny! Can't wait to see pics out of the oven. I made a bit of progress on my bow- I still need to do a good deal of sanding and blending but it's starting to look more like a bow.

delongbows
