Wrecked a bow today      It came in 12lbs heavy, so I decided to trap the back. Somehow I put a deep gouge near the fade and then tried to fix it and it was all down hill from there    :knothead:

Sorry to hear that. It really sucks to have to throw one away.

I went shooting this evening with some friends. Bought 12 new arrows, lost one of them, got swarmed by mosquitos, hit a couple of 12's and had fun.    :archer:

Did a dry run and everything looks good so I'll butter things up tomorrow! It's cocobolo and tiger myrtle riser, and aboo cores with tiger myrtle veneers from the Big Guy!

My bows are starting to take up a lot of room and some organizing was needed so yesterday I grabbed some old cherry boards with a little bark on them and slapped together a rack to get the bows up on the wall.  I used some dowels that I had for making some cheap arrows(and the practice doing it) for the pegs.  It's in a narrow room and my phone/camera would not focus on it very well but you get the idea.  It's simple and quick solution to a small problem.

The dark patches on the boards are the bark.  The bows include from the top: Samick Sage, 2014 swap bow, 2013 swap bow,my first fiberglass bow, 2011 swap bow, and old Ben Pearson I bought to remind me of my first "real" bow, my first red oak bow, my first r/d wood bow and a couple of started wood bows that may never get finished.

I fixed my Grizzly drum sander. I replaced the front roller and roller bracket. I guess I was over tightening them when I was doing the belt tracking and a bushing broke.  Grizzly is great because you can order specific parts for pretty cheap, but I've found that the parts are not exactly made to meet very tight tolerances...

Built a single arm endless jig and proceeded to screw up making strings.  Just off today for some reason.

Worked some more on a bow for myself.  Got the second limb glued up today but haven't unwrapped either yet. Limbs are paduk and figured cherry, and riser is the same with paduk/cherry/bocote/cherry mosaics.

Joe - those tiny mosaics in the lams are pretty cool. Can't wait to see them under glass...

Glued up my bow earlier. About the time I put the air to it I realized I forgot to put tape on the glass!   :banghead:

Randy, some guys don't tape, but I have tried it without and like you say, it is a bit of extra work. Not the end tho!
Stay sharp, Kenny.
