Trying to put a save on the swap bow, I'll get some pics and let you guys look it over.....
Stay sharp, Kenny.

It took me all day to get that saw set up right.  Part of the problem was the factory installed the tensioner quick release backwards.  The rest of the problem was my own stupidity.  Its finally running smooth and cutting wood.

Been sick for a while so it was good to get out and do some hiking today and try to call in a coyote.

looks like good coyote country there--

hung some shelves out in the shop--did some prep for tomorrow--
spliced the cores--made the tip wedges--scraped the form and pressure strips
gonna squeeze a #53 -64"--red elm
heres a jig I use to make the lam splices
I used to use the disk-but was never happy with the squareness

then I use this angle stock to clamp it straight--

this is a handy rig too--the wood gives me room to use lags--and raises it to a good working height

Glued up a bow for the brother in law.
Hickory, oak, ipe, osage orage.

Got all the glue off and sanded it down today as well.  Ready for pattern and cutout.

well today, since I'm waiting on my last order of lams from kennym for my trade bow. my brother darcy came over to work on his red oak bow we been playing with. he borrowed my tbb set and has been reading and wanted to take the lead. we curved the tips today. will get whitetail rawhide(from Clay Hayes) and mulie antler tip overlays. he's hoping to get around 45# at his 30" draw. currently it is 68" ntn, 2" @ fades tapered to 1/2" at tips. i thought we would get belly splinters doing it this way but i found none.
