The most frightening thing you are likely to encounter in nature is yourself.

I really like your work, that's going to be a beauty.

Well I got the nocks cut in and braced- it's right at 56#s@28" now. My buddy was wanting one between 50-55#s so once I'm done sanding I should be right in there. Here's a picture with a ruler to put it into perspective.... Down to the detail work now

Finished the tiller and limb alignment- had to try it out. It shoots pretty nice.

Man that thing is awesome.  Amazing work!!  Got a shot at full draw?  I love seeing how these things bend, quite different than what I'm used to!

Pheonixarcher

That's a great looking bow! The woods are awesome, and that grip looks sweet. Great job!
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

Here's a full draw shot drawn to ~28"s.

That's so cool!  Super nice job on that, looks like those tips could take an even longer draw, crazy!  Thanks for sharing!

Sweet!!! I got to try a snubnose build soon.

Getting close and no worries about it not being ready for Christmas. Just need to let the finish cure some and add the arrow rest.

Man that finish makes it pop! Nice job
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Very nice Dave.  What did you use to fill the grain on the Wenge?  Reason I ask I have one going with a wenge riser.
I still remember your first couple of bows doesn't seem that long ago.  You have really got the building em down.

Trux Turning

Jess I used super glue- one thick coat that got sanded off then I just needed to redo the areas that still needed additional filling. I've used epoxy/acetone before with good results- don't know which one works better. I still learn something new with each one.

bigbob2

Man that riser is super sweet. terrific bow.

Trux Turning

Here's a few pics with the finish cured. I'll string it up tomorrow a break it in before my bud gets it. He wanted a black bow with some red accents and I think he will be happy with it- he should be surprised.

Hell that thing is freaking terrific man... can`t find the right words- not caused by foreign language probs!
That`s propably the most you can get out of wenge and the mosaic is a perfect underline; combined with such a shorty it`s really close to leaving me speechless... I wanna touch it!
