Hey guys!  Just thought I'd show off the first deer taken with this year's trade bow.  The bow was made by Philip Maza (aka GentlemanArcher).  I had to make a slight adjustment to the handle to make it smaller to fit my hand, but otherwise it's an awesome shooting bow!  This was my first year with the bow trade, and this is the first buck I've shot with trad equipment that I've found before the coyotes.

Still planning on taking a few does before season is over, but this guy's a good start!  He's a 5x4 with a big body.

Thanks for looking!

seems like you need to adopt some of thunkerdunkers techniques and start nailing them dogs! thats got to be a real downer after a great hunt- to have them critters beat you to your prize.

Thanks guys!

Fujimo - it's funny you mentioned shooting the dogs.  I went out to the same spot tonight to see if I could fill a doe tag and had two coyotes come in to my stand right at dusk.  One was 50 yards away and didn't even know I was there, and the second came right up to 20 yards, but he was behind some brush so I didn't have a shot.  I was gonna try to stick one and add the pic to this post.  I think my brother is gonna bring his foxpro up this week and we're gonna nail a few.  Try to help out the deer a bit.  :)   Should be fun!

WestTexan - good to hear you've gotten a chance to tune it in.  Hope it didn't take too much to get her shooting nice  :)   I had meant to tell you what arrows I was shooting with her but forgot.  Sorry.
