Hey guys!
Finished my first bow some time ago and working on a second. Just would like some feedback on the tillering on them. First one is a Hickory board bow, 63 ttt with a somewhat pyramidial shape drawn to 26", 55# at the moment. Shoots good I guess, it's the first bow I ever shot so I have nothing to compare with. Thinking I'm going to do the mid limbs a little more leaving the fades and tips alone.

Second one is a red oak pyramid bow with still some work to do. Drawn to 20 on the short string hitting 50# so I got like 7" to go. Thanks!

I think your tillering is better than mine. I have nothing to add.

Well, if you say so guys:) I was gonna do a little more midlimbs but I guess I'll stop right here. It was not a problem free build though. It took close to 2" of set 'cause I think I pushed it to hard on the tillering tree to early. Also I changed my mind on the design from stiff handle to bendy and hinged it right in the middle and ended up with a stress crack across the handle. With some help from the very nice people on the forum that got figured out to:)
With the oak bow I'm trying to do what Pearl drum and I think Pat B mentioned in a different post to floor tiller it until you close in on your final weight and then go straight to the short string and hopefully get less set, we'll see how that go.
Well thanks for the nice words folks, heading down to the basement again;)
