A pic of the upper tip. I did a bit more shaping after this pic, but I'm still not satisfied. I wanted a sleeker, narrower tip....lesson learned. Tip overlays should go on very thin and the tapered edges should be feathered out before gluing on.

A pic of the bow at brace. The string tracks perfectly down the centerline of the riser and both limbs. I checked for string track and limb twist at brace, 14", 20", 24" and 28".

Looks like you have one fine glass bow.See what you mean about tip overlays being a bit 'chunky' but still a great job.

Looking good! Keep sanding those overlays.

Looking real good! You could sand the bottom of the overlays to tear drop them and they would not look so bulky....

So after a ton of filing, sanding and 7 coats of Helsman Poly here she is...

Nice.  Purple Heart and black glass make for a nice combination.

It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Thanks all! Wanted to say a public thank you to Kenny M and Bjansen for all their help along the way. I just placed an order for my 2nd bow through kennym. Can't wait to get her going.
