6 1/2" brace.  43.5#@29.  limbs synced how i hold the bow and string, about 50 shots through it.



it is somewhat able to pivot on that cradle, and it doesn't.  the string that runs down the 2x4 is plumb, and serves as my guide to see if it pulls toward one limb or another, and it doesn't.  not sure if im sold on this straight handle or not yet.... may go more in the direction of Roy's.  and im not sure if i want to cover up this pretty maple with leather and a leather wedge rest or not.  part of me wants to glue on a wood or antler rest.  i just don't care for shooting off the knuckle, my form isn't consistent enough and a flubbed release can put a feather in my knuckle.  been to the ER for that before      







i really thought that with two glue joints holding it it would have retained more reflex than this.  do ya think maybe i overdid the deflex?  im ok with it, though, ought to be pretty forgiving, and it is pretty quiet before any tuning.

The delfex doesn't look excessive, I'm leaning more towards ya didn't reflex it enough.

That deep red mahogony dye turned out to be a whole lot purpler than i anticipated.... Think it will grow on me though.  Just used the bow as my test piece.

Looking good and a wonderful finish. Just a question, I see that both you and Roy are making these bows without a Power Lam. Is there not a chance that the handle will pop off when the bow is bent? Even If the handle block is curved to fit the shape of the glued up laminates and it is nicely featherd. Bue--.  

well... i worried about that, until i started tillering.  it just isnt bending enough at the fades to do it i think, and the handle feathers in thin enough that it bends ever so slightly at the tips.  should be fine i think.
