My first bamboo backed ipe. What do you guys think?

I shot it a little today and it shot surprisingly well.

Is it a reflex/reflex design, Scott?  If so the tiller looks pretty good to me.

Would need an unbraced picture for comparison to make an accurate, fair assessment.

Good looking profile on your bow.  Nice job
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Brace height looks a little high, I'd also tend to say it looks a tad stiff around mid limb, would need a front profile picture to give an accurate assessment though.

John Scifres

If your width taper is even, I think I would make the mid-limb do a little more work.  It is tough to tell for sure without a front profile and unbraced pic though.

If those are 12" tiles, that brace looks to be about 9".  That's too high.  You might need a longer string  :)
Take a kid hunting!
