I do have the bow done. I have been wanting to finished the build along. It should have been completed months ago. I have had a lot going on since I started the thread. When it was started I was laid off from my job. The place I worked has since closed it's doors. Now my new job has required a bunch more time away from home. So I do apologize  for not keeping up.

This is turning out to be an excellent build along.  I've learned a ton already.  Thanks.

Let's put a limb in the form.

Great thread, new to this forum Trad Gang has some really talented people!
Everything I have and have become is due to the Lord and his great mercy.

John, if you're not familiar with the bench then you gotta get in on this man. I lurk on trad gang way too much and I can say this for sure ... the bench is a little community within the broader TradGang. You'll see alot of guys who spend there time here on the Bowyers bench almost exclusively. Maybe 100 or 200 guys out of the 40,000 tradgangers really spend there time building and talking about building bows.

bigbob2

LIL Ben I can vouch for that! Have to get my fix nearly every day, lessing of course I'm away at a trad shoot or too busy building a bow.

bigbob2

Great build along too!. Been following every step so far, and can't wait to see the finished product.

BWolf, why don't you trim the lams and glass shorter before you put it in the press?  Do you use the extra for something else?

Never really thought about it. I could trim it to the end of the form. The little extra probably helps make the bend it the form though.
