I could use some advice as I'm building my first selfbow out of a stave of yew. I've got the bow roughed out and will wait a couple weeks for the wood to reach a steady moisture level before I start tillering. My issue is that as is, the the lower limb of my bow bends a bit to the left side so that when I lay a string across the belly, the string doesn't run perfectly down the center and is quite a bit on the left side of the handle, though not off it yet. If I leave it as is, will it adversely effect the way the bow shoots or compromise it's integrity? Do I need to heat treat it to bend it center?

Eric, yew reacts well to dry heat. Can you tell where the bend is along the bow? Pics would really help.
