I just finished up this bow for a friend from work.  This was one of those builds where everything actually went as planned and I hit the desired weight exactly.  I think it might be the nicest bow I've made to date.  The down side is that my friend is left handed so I don't even get to really enjoy it before he picks it up tomorrow after work.

It's a mild r/d; zebrawood back and belly with an amber actionboo core; zebrawood riser with a white & black fiberglass accent strip; white, black, and zebrawood overlays.  If I didn't build this thing backwards, I think I'd have a hard time letting it go.

I'll get some full draw pics of him tomorrow night when he picks it up.

really sweet John. yet another example in how far I have to go in my abilities.  very nice work

great stuff John.Looks terrific. do you feel the zebrano on the belly gives a little better performance than , say action 'boo? I feel zebra seems to give just a little extra performance.

Great lookin' bow, sounds like he's lucky to be a southpaw!

Thanks guys.

Bob - I really can't tell about the performance since I can't shoot it myself.  It doesn't seem any different as far as speed compared to other bows of similar design and weight I've built with other woods.  Shooting left handed is so foreign to me that I just can't tell.

Goober - These glass lam bows are easy compared to those all wood bows.  I found out recently I can't chase a ring for crap.

Damn John that is nice.  Nice labeling too.  I can't write on one for crap.  Very nice job as usual.  Your friend will be very proud to have it.

Nice bow John. I built a left hander several years ago for a friend. My wife said I looked like a girl trying to shoot it.No offense Ladies.RC

Beautiful bow, John!  You're right about building for off handed people. I'm a lefty but everyone else wants right handed bows!  I taught myself how to shoot righty, so I at least get to try them out.

Great job!    :clapper:

Thanks everyone.

Yeah, the left handed thing kind of throws you off when building.  First the shelf and site window just kind of mess with your mind.  Then as I was shaping the grip, I kept grabbing it in my left hand to see how it felt, but then remembered it's a left handed bow.  So I'd grab it in my right hand to see how it felt, and heck I couldn't tell if it felt good or not.  So I had my friend come over and shoot it some before I did the final sanding and finish work to make sure he liked how it felt.

Great looking bow John... Just put a new one in the oven today and took out the blank at 0200 hours. Looks like everything stayed together nicely and will clean up the blank and lay everything out in the morning after work and court.

Glad to see a new one from ya!!!!

Despite you cut the shelf on the wrong side it`s even a beauty!

What a beaut! I'm trying to plan out my first glass bow and had hopes of using zebra veneers also. Your bow looks awesome! What was your stack and profile taper?s
