My son and I are going to attempted to build a couple of bows. We are buying the starter kit from Bingham. What tools, power and hand tools do we need to get to handle this project. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Bill

Sounds like these will be bows with fiberglass .
One thing to know is it's amazing how cutting the glass dulls blades.
A bandsaw is really useful but a belt sander with coarse grit will be good for bringing the glass to size. Good dust masks .
A spindle sander or drums that fit in a,drill, press are nice for riser shaping.

Have good air ventilation and good protection all the way around. Blow the dust off your cloths before going into the house. Safety glasses wouldn't hurt either. You will need a quality rasp, and sand paper in various grits from say 100 up to 320. A small round file for string grooves, like a chain saw sharpening file.

I have built about 18 or 20 bows from a Bingham design form and the 62" R/D Hybrid bow plans using an 18" riser.  In addition to the previous good input...the tools I use include a bandsaw. I started out with a 9" and just recently upgraded to a Grizzly 14". I have and edge sander and spindle sander. An assorment of files for riser work and nock groves.
