Some of you all might remember KennyM having a giving away with a set of maple tapers and walnut veneers.  My friend Art (razorback) actually won the giveaway but he had Kenny send them to me as a very gracious gift.  Thank you again to both Kenny and Art.  Well here is what I have got so far.  Its 64" tip to tip and around 65#@28 at the moment so I've got five or so pounds to drop.  Here's some pics.

I forgot to get some pics of the walnut under the glass.  The belly looks great but I've got a few bad places in my glue joint on the back I've got to fix or try to fix is a better way to say it.  In the braced picture it looks like the right side is bending just a little more at the fade.  It didn't look like that in my hand but hard to argue with a picture..lol..and yes I'm standing on a stool in the pic too..lolol Thanks for looking.

Nice work!  Really like the look of your riser.
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Dang D! That looks great and I don't believe this is your first one piece glass try.  My first one sure didn't look that good.

Great Job D!! That's a beauty for a first try!!

Nice one man, getting rid of 5# shouldn`t be that hard- go a little more narrow and if necessary do a little traping on the back....
Show again with finish on her!

Great job!!To drop the weight just take a little off the sides and round over the edges. Measure from the fade to the string to check tiller.

Hey thanks for the help guys.  Thanks again for all the kind words too.  It means a lot coming from all you people.  Especially when I've seen what you can create.  Except you Roy...lololol  Just kidding.

Look here Mr. Smarty Pants. You take that bow down to 45 pounds and I'll trade ya a tri lam for it:) Ya gonna stick a leather rest on the side of it? Surely your not gonna cut in a shelf are ya? If ya are then I don't want no sissy pants bow wif a shelf cut in it:)

Wow great job 'D'! Love the wood combo!

Cool D!!

I think the strung pic, you have the cam to the right of the bow center.  Probably optical, but if you worry, measure out some marks on 6" increments and check from string!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Kenny I had it strung up again up tonight and had it on the tree too and everything lined up with my lines on the wall.  I probably should measure it all though.

Now Roy...I know good and well you don't wont no fancy smancy glass bow...I would like to have one of those tri lams though...hum.  Something to think about.... Now what in the world do you have against a shelf??

Thanks again for the kind words everybody.  I got a lot done on the riser tonight.  Try to get some pics up sometime soon.  Probably wont get to work on it for a few days though.  I'll be in Bristol this weekend so maybe Sunday night I'll get some work done then.
