hey I thought you said you was out of beer and that's why it wasn't done yet  :)   those are some real nice lines..gonna be sweet and remember stay away from fades and work the outer limbs and most important..don't let handle pop off like I did ..LOL

I guess it's ok.

Don't try to make it something it ain't. Don't remove or ignore the effects of the 'extra' reflex trying to make it take on the profile of a more straight-limbed bow. If you do an excellent job of pretapering, front profile shaping, and initial faceting of back, belly, and dip/handle, BEFORE you introduce her to the tree, she'll mostly show ya what profile she wants to be. You can persuade her some, but don't ignore her.

Looking good Roy.  I have the fixins for a BBI just need to get started.  Your bow may get me motivated.

..there's more fun in hunting with the handicap of the bow than there is in hunting with the sureness of the gun.~ F.Bear

Trapper Rob

Not bad I hope you saved me a couple of those for Sat.

D

Heck yea Roy.  Glad to see ya making a new one.  I'm sure it will turn out Iffy at best.  lol.  Look forward to seeing the rest of it.

Worked on the riser and horn over lays tonight. The riser is Pau Rosa that Mr. Morris gifted me, awesome stuff.

This is a cow horn tip Trapper Rob gave me, really nice horn. I measured and then cut them down the center.

And got this.

Roy from Pa

Prepped the horn over lays and bow tips.

Then glued them on with Smooth On. I refuse to use cheap epoxy or super glue for tip over lays. Do it right the first time and don't look back.

Then I glued on the riser with Unibond800, not that cheap TBIII that Razorbak uses, LOL.

I guess it's OK so far    :jumper:
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Beanbag

It would have come out better if you had filled that box up instead of only doing it half way!!! Half a box half a bow lol  Looks Good

Razorbak
