Great wood combo and I really like your riser.

Well my not so scientific results have these new limbs coming in 6#s lighter then the last ones. They still need nock overlays and some finish sanding where I'll probably lose another pound or two... Kind of glad they came in lighter though- I didn't need two sets of limbs with the same draw weight for this riser...

So, in theory, you could use thinner maple lams to get the same weight. Any maple-to-bamboo conversion ratio ideas?

Yes, thinner maple lams to get the same weight-A wag would be .010 in core thickness as a starting point.

I got the limbs shaped and mounted- just need to spray them. With any luck I'll get that done this afternoon.
They finished 53#@28" which is 7#s lighter than the maple limbs with the same stack using a bamboo core. Both sets shoot great so now I'll have to decide which ones to use next weekend...

Here it is with both sets of limbs- 53#s and 60#s. got the new limbs sprayed so they will be ready to go next weekend...

Gorgeous looking riser and limbs David!

Nice set up.
Good poundage spread also.

Hard maple edge grain is hard to beat as core wood. You just need to adjust your stacks. And the fact that it takes less to get the weight you most likely are not going to change the performance and it may be even better than A-boo.

In my way of thinking it doesn't come any better than good old maple.  Great job as usual Dave.
