For a rigid handle bow, I'd go 1-1/2" at the fades and carry that for 6-8" and then taper to 3/8" nocks.  Handles can be whatever dimensions you like as long as it is thick enough to not bend.
Take a kid hunting!

I second John's specs.. Well, except for nock width. I like 1/2" width myself.

Most rigid handles are around 4" long by 1" wide and a minimum of 1 1/2" deep. You can leave extra wood (for the sides or for an overall bulbous look) to bulbous out your handle if you like. Handle is located (centered for a low wrist grip, or lowered for a high wrist) accordingly for one's grip/hold.

Since your draw is short like mine, try 3" fades to help lengthen your overall riser length. You can keep the handle taper (sides) in the 1 1/2"-2" range. Good luck............Art

I like john's tip width spec for final width... but start with 1/2' on the rough out. You can always remove a little from the sides if you want later to fine tune the tip weight and vibration
