How do they stack up against each other as core woods? I primarily use a-boo and love it but was just curious about how actionwood performs. Thanks for any input y'all

I'm interested to see where this goes ... I dont have much experience with multi-laminate bows. I tend to think though that the debate onj which core wood is superior is like debating blondes vs red heads ... its all personal preference

Before a-boo was common- action wood was one of my favorite cores. I'd say they are fairly similar in properties although with the same stack I get a heavier draw weight with action wood vs a-boo.

I ordered a new bow from Black Widow in 2005. I was talking with them about their bows, they wanted me to have the right bow for what I was wanting to do. I was told that there was only a 3 fps difference between the two in their 3 piece T.D. design.. bamboo was the "faster" of the two. I went with a PSA with gray actionwood limbs, it was a very nice shooting bow.

I kinda like aboo better, and agree with what both Dave and Robert said there. Aboo is a little lighter on the weight and has the edge on speed.

You probably won't know the diff without a chrono tho..  :)
Stay sharp, Kenny.
