I finished my first BBO about 2 weeks ago just in time for turkey season. I'd like to thank all of you that have given me tips over the last year about bow building. I couldn't have done it without all of your help.

On to the turkey story. I set up on this farm that normally has a few birds and I heard what I thought was 1 longbeard and a couple Jakes first. A litte later I heard another bird that was closer. Each of them answered the lusty yelps I floated them so I quickly gave them the cold shoulder to see what they did. The closer bird was hammering at everything. Crows, owls, wooden peckers, you name it, he hammered it. The gang of birds hit the ground first and I gave em a dose of lusty hen. They liked it and about 10 minutes later I see 4 heads pop over the ridge. A few seconds later, I see that they are all Jakes. :(  I decided that I would wait and see what the other bird was going to do. He had 2 options, and he could fly down on my side of the water or the other. While I was waiting for him to fly down, the 4 Jakes moved in. 2 of them were brave and did a number on the decoys. (you can see for yourself in the video). Once the other bird hit the ground across the water, I decided to shoot the Jake anyway.  :)  I haven't shot a Jake since the late 80's but this was my first ever trip to the woods with a BBO and I was determined to kill a bird with it. I did.  :)

Congrats, but I have one question. In the first picture, which one is the Turkey?

The videos are fantastic.

Both are turkeys.  :)  One younger than the other.
