I just completed a 62" R/D 59 @ 28" Bamboo cores - Spalted Maple veneers all from Troy. Walnut riser with Bocata and bamboo stringer and bocata nocks and overlays. It is a smooth shooter and fast.

Thanks Troy...it was great working with you and look forward to buying some more of your lams...

I first learned about spalted maple last year. Yours is the first bow I've seen it on and man, that is some sweet lookin wood there!
nice job Cameron

Thanks Troy - My son has just about taken ownership of the bow. He has a Tomahawk bow from Three Rivers I paid $850 bucks for and he likes this bow better! Here is a sample of his shooting...at 15 yards.

Thanks everyone for the good words...This was my first bow using Bamboo core wood and after some side by side shooting of my maple core wood bows off the same form I would have to say there seems to be a noticable improvement in at least the feel of the bow. I will borrow a chrono from a friend next week and see if I am getting additional speed. Even if the speed is equal I think I will make a few more bows with the bamboo core just for the feel alone. Maybe its all in my head but that's fine if it helps me hit the mark...
