I found a small splinter(1/4 inch or so long)about 6 inches from the tip.I've filled it with super glue and clamped it.Is this a good,safe fix or should I toss this bow?At this point the bow is drawing 40#@26 Inches.I was shooting for between 40 and 45# at 28 inches.Any advice would be welcome.Thanks Kev

wood or fiberglass, belly or back?

Kevin, What wood are you working with?  If it's on the back of the limb I would try doing a wrap with silk thread or sinew.  If using silk I would saturate the thread with super glue.  That part of the limb should not be bending much, if at all.  I'm sure others who are more experienced at these types of repairs will be along to help you out.

Sorry about the lack of info.The splinter is on the back.On the edge of the back.The bow is a red oak B.B.backed with sheet rock tape.
