can I use the thinner from 1 part thunderbird to clean up the sprayer etc. after using the 2 part epoxy thunderbird?

I've done it and it works.  Acetone is cheaper though.

another vote for acetone here

Bowjunkie

Yep, acetone works or you can get cheap laquer thinner by the gallon in many dept stores.

MEK works also.  Matter of fact, I know a guy that thins the finish with MEK before spraying.  He doesn't use Thunderbird Thinner.

MEK is cancer in a can.....

thanks, will use up left over thinner, than acetone

Don' simply spray thinner through your gun and think it is clean enough. I ruined one that way. Disassemble the gun and clean it real good. Any residual epoxy will harden and gunk all the innards up!
