I was recently removing my ILF limbs from the riser and noticed that one of the alignment pins had fallen out of the limb.  I pushed the pin back into the limb, re-strung the bow and haven't noticed any problems in shooting the bow. Question:  Should the pin be glued back into the limb or is it supposed to be a pressure fit or should I send the limb(s) back to the bowyer for repairs? The limbs are Custom XL double carbon/bamboo.

If you are talking about the dovetail that sticks into the slot they are held in with a screw, that has a spring and a pin under it.

Thanks for the reply Pete.  No, I'm talking about the metal pin that's recessed into the limb itself. The limb and pin then are placed into the riser socket.  I just now spoke to the bowyer and was told to put a small amount of super glue on the pin and press it back into the limb. I certainly appreciate the reply. p.s. We have some of your cold Alberta air with us here in Ontario for the past few days.

I have many sets of ILF limbs, and risers and none of them have any pins like you describe. ILF has a dovetali like the picture and a slot for the limb bolt. Don't know what you have but it is not ILF. can you post a photo of what you have?
