Do any of you perform checkering on your risers?  Do you have photos to show off your work?  Just like Checkering adds to a rifle or shotgun, I think it adds a LOT to a bow.  I am just starting on my 2nd bow build, and wanted some ideas about this subject.   :)
To err is human, so keep practicing!

Donald, I have checkering tools and I think checkering on a bow would be amazing! Everytime I attempt to checker a scrap piece of wood I quickly realize it is above my pay grade and I would end up trashing a bow! If ya are proficient in checkering I would do it in a heart beat, but if not YouTube can teach ya alot . If ya can find them check out some of the things Bushwolf does to his bows, they are some of the classiest bow I have seen.

I bought some checkering tools here locally to give it a go.  I checkered two bows and neither of them are pic worthy.  I asked a gunsmith friend about it and he told me my files were to small. I have 20 lines per inch and would like to get a set of 12 or 16's.

I have a set of 16's and they look good untill I get them in my hands!

I've did a stippled grip on my Bears Paw. I used a dremal tool. I practiced on scrap wood until I got the hang of it. The grip turned out great!
