I am getting a R/D longbow used and not sure what it is tillered for. If it is 3 under will it hurt to shoot split?

Absolutely not. Makes little or no difference other than having to adjust your nocking point for best tune.

Yeah, you should be fine so long as you take the time to get it tuned to your shooting style.

I asked Dan Toelke this same exact question several months ago, and he is one of the top bowyers in the world. He told me that if it's tillered for split, and you shoot 3 under, you can get by by raising the nocking point. But if it's tillered for 3 under, and you shoot split, then you will have an accuracy problem.

Call Dan, tell him Bruce Glisson sent you!
