I have a Guava self bow, real beauty except it has some limb twist. What is a preferred method to get some of the twist out out.

Did the twist develop during tillering or is it inherent to the stave?
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

Do you have pictures and a little more detail of the twist?

If the bows finished n shoots, then leave it alone cus its fine. Did you make the bow?

Keenan

Some self bows have a little natural twist and sometimes even allot. If the limbs cancle each other it will alamost always balance out if natural and not caused from tillering. I have made some bows from staves that looked like a propeller.

No someone else made the bow and when I got it, it was fine. Tried to brace it and I cant get the string to stay on. Looking at it I can see the twist.

The string grooves might not be deep enough.
Pics would really help us determine the problem and a remedy.
