Going to try my hand at including some carbon fiber  with my next recurve.  The plan is carbon fiber on the back under black glass with action boo lams.  Shooting for 55# with a stack of .274 being normal without carbon.  Give me your thoughts and/or advice.

Carbon needs to be the back.  Get rid of that heavy glass.

loose the glass on the back side and get the most benefit out of the carbon.  Becareful when grinding the carbon to final thickness for every .001 taken off = 1 pound loss on weight.

P.D. are you using the sanded both sides carbon from Binghams? I bought some 3 years ago and have not tried it.. I have heard of guys using it under glass after they run the glass thru a thickness sander to get the glass down to 020 or less??

Not sure what the formula is, but your stack should be less when using carbon..
