I use thunderbird and curious what you guy's do at the final stage to remove anything in the finish without scuffing it. No matter what you do there seems to always be something there. I use satin so I dont want to buff it and change the look/sheen in one spot.

I do nothing after the last coat. I rely on the steps I took to ensure a dust free environment while the finish cures.

Usually I try to ensure a dust free spraying area by giving it a thorough cleaning the day before, then prior to spraying, I wet the floor to keep the dust down. Within seconds of spraying the final coat, I move the bow to a clean, still, dust free area to hang until the finish cures, so that any airborn dust or overspray doesn't settle on it.

Usually that's all I need to do, but if for some reason after it's dry, I find a speck of dust in the finish, I'll wait until the finish is totally hard, then try to knock the dust speck off with my hand, or a clean cotton cloth. If it's too big for that, I may just touch it with some fine grit wet or dry paper then steel wool. If I can see where I rubbed it, I'll mist a little spray over that area and hope it all looks uniform. If not, I'll respray the bow.

Even a single tiny speck of dust in my bow's finish drives me NUTS.

T bird can be wet sanded after a couple of curing days to about any sheen you want. It takes time to do it right but the end result is a smooth finish. Like bowjunkie sez you need a dust free area to start with.

If you're only getting a few specks of dust in the finish it's probably lint off your shirt. I spray myself with water before entering the spray room. A Tyvek paint suit would also work.
