Hi, I am making my first bow it is a red oak board bow.i have been tillering it for quite a while and i just wanted to get the opinion on how the tiller looks from someone who knows. April 14, 2012

Is it just me or is the left linb bending more at mid limb that the right lib? THanks for the help

I think it looks fine for now. Take it out a little more if you can without going over your desired draw weight.

Right vat the 3rd vertical line from thec right tip it looks like it is wanting to hinge. Mark that area and don't scrape there.  You could get a little more bend off of both fades.
 Are you on a long string? If so go bto a low brace and see how the string tracks. What weight is it at that draw?

It is 50 pounds at 28 in this is at low brace. should i scrap some off in front of where it is wanting to hinge? THanks for the help

A hinge is a weak area. The only way to fix a weak area is to weaken either side of it. It shouldn't take much as this hinge is barely visable.    Do you use a tillering Gizmo? If not you should make and use one to help identify stiff and weak areas as you are working on tiller.
