Dan looking good,Agree with Razor. Mid limb on right stiff stay away from right fade.

Roy, Nice profile should be a neat bow.

Adeeden, Looking very good.

OL Roy, I may have to start my trade bow soon. Looks like I got some more Carp skins coming.        :bigsmyl:   I've heard you can even make a bow from balsa wood if ya use some skins

Pat, I have had so many problems with boo that I don't like to make it too hot for fear of drying it out too much. Yes, URAC.

Pat B

Roy, I don't build them anymore. BB bows are way to finikey for me. 90deg is probably the perfect temp for urac.
I know some of the bow epoxys want pretty high temps for curing. And those glues will release if the bow hits that temp again(hense the high cook temp)...Not Urac!
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

Razorback & Roy, thanks for the advice, worked on the right limb with the gizmo and had it bending much better, took a little more off the left limb to even it up and had it pulling to 24" again.  While I had it pulled to 24" to use the gizmo the handle slipped to the side, while trying to center it back up on the tree, it snapped.  The break started at the handle on one side of the back and split up about 6 inches.  I know it's not repairable, so on to the next one.  Hopefully the third time will be the charm.....Dan

Dan, lest hope the third time is the charm for you and me! I cant get a good finish on this stinking bow! I got my shipping container all ready and all I need to do put a finish on it and it will be on some ones doorstep soon. Grrr.. hey ****** you can get your bow quicker if you will do the finish yourself...

Rmorris, if it's coming my way I could do that, LOL.  The break on this one was my own fault, had problem getting the handle and the fades to look right and ended up taking too much wood off in that area, and I should have let the bow down to brace, not try ro center it while pulled to 24".  I'm ok now, just had a little one on one time with Keith Stone......Dan

Every time there is a post with "I hope ****** likes this" I count the astrix's and wonder if there are that many *'s for a reason and if it matches my trad name I wonder if they are talking about me. Is that weird? Anyone else do that too?
And Ralph I'd be HAPPY to finish "my" bow :-)

I think I am finished my swap bow, just need to shoot the bow a bit this weekend and make sure it is good to go. It turned out good so far, and the weight it spot on the target.
Now that this swap got me in the mood I have 3 more in various stages of completion.

Me, too, Nim-Rod! But my name only has ****, just like a cuss word!  :bigsmyl:

I think last year I did the right number of *** once and the wrong number of **** several times as well.  :bigsmyl:

Oh crap! I did not realize people did that, I sure hope **** **** did not notice. I will start changing  how I hide their name.   ;)

Took the bow out of the clamps, came out perfect, 2 9/16th reflex on each limb tip.

Glued on the curly maple riser.

In the heat box now for a few hours.

Hope nim-*** likes it.

LMAO

KellyG

***-*** most do that but I never use the right amount. Well mostly never. Pete let me know if it is done and when you ship.

Finally got to work on my candidate today. I've got a couple of prospect in case one doesn't pan out.

started this morning on this chunk of Yew..

One end has a natural flip so I matched it on the othe end...

Then worked it onto the reflex form...   Keepin my fingers crossed cause it's Yew!!!  I did decrown it and I may back it. This is a fairly long bow would you sinew it because it's been decrowned. This stave is about 30 to 35 rings per inch.

Nice Roy! Too funny. Glad I'm not the only one that does it though. I noticed myself doing that the first time I saw ******. I shouldn't have said anything though because now I won't know if it's that or just a mindf***

When you guys do that on a form like coaster shows, how do you heat it? Just use a heat gun and keep working up and down the limb, or start at one end and slowly heat the limb till hot enough and keep moving on down the limb?

Coaster ya stole my clamps, I want them back:)
